Main duties of the job
* Collaborate with the QA Manager to support and maintain the Pharmaceutical Quality System (PQS), ensuring compliance with EU GMP standards for 'Specials' licensed medicines. Help the team meet all Medicines Healthcare Regulatory Agency (MHRA) licensing and safety requirements.
* Analyse and evaluate environmental conditions, identify trends, and take corrective actions as necessary, including basic microorganism identification. Work closely with the Quality Control lab on specific organism identification and manage deviations within the Deviation Management System.
* Partner with the Production Manager to plan and develop production methods, focusing on the manufacture of technetium and gallium-based radiopharmaceuticals.
* Participate in the training, teaching, and supervision of non-Radiopharmacy staff, ensuring safe aseptic techniques and proper handling of gallium and other radiopharmaceuticals.
* Contribute to radiopharmaceutical research projects and clinical trials, supporting innovation within the department.

Qualifications
Essential
* Degree in appropriate science subject e.g. Master of Pharmacy degree,
* Membership of a professional body e.g. GPhC or RSC
Experience

* Previous experience in Pharmacy or Nuclear Medicine
* Sound understanding of GMP and QA processes
* Experience of undertaking internal and external GMP audits
* Project management experience, including involvement of multi-disciplinary teams
* Experience of formal documentation and report writing
* Customer service experience in acute or 'Just in time services'
Knowledge
Essential
* Specialist knowledge of Nuclear Medicine or Pharmacy such as Aseptic production and quality control
* Excellent knowledge and understanding of current Good Manufacturing Practice
* Well-developed problem solving skills
* Understanding of environmental monitoring techniques and data implications
* Sound knowledge of environmental micro-organisms
* Well-developed IT skills, knowledge of electronic quality management systems
