To support this important work, CTPSE’s ICT Team are involved in a range of technical tasks from every day user support to the discovery and development of new bespoke specialist solutions for trailblazing technologies in policing. The ICT Support Officer is responsible for resolving or coordinating timely responses to IT issues, thereby ensuring connectivity of technical systems and services is maintained across the unit. You will also help identify common trends and issues to enable areas for investigation by engineers, act as point of contact for some technical facilities and support IT colleagues with day to day functions. This is an excellent opportunity to join a small and dynamic team, where we can support your development and learning as you embrace new technologies. You will have a good understanding of IT systems, ideally evidenced via previous work experience in an IT support function. You should also have good communication skills and able to think logically in a fast paced environment. It is essential that you have the flexibility to regularly travel across the South East region as need arises, and therefore a UK driving licence is essential. Due to the nature of our work, security is of paramount importance to us and therefore it will be necessary to pass and maintain vetting level DV together with a number of enhanced security checks. In order to achieve this, you must be a British National and have resided in the UK for the past ten years.
