About the role:
We are seeking to appoint two Senior Analysts to join Waltham Forest's Business Intelligence service. These roles will help us deliver our ambitions to strengthen the use of data and analytics across the organisation to support data drive decision-making, drive improvement and deliver on the Council's key priorities and the Mission Waltham Forest ambitions. This is an advert for two roles. The successful candidates will be focused on either Adults or Children's Social Care and will work across the organisation and with partner agencies to produce data and analytics solutions, including strategic assessments, performance reporting, and statutory data returns. This will ensure that our social care services have access to robust and timely information to help them make decisions, target resources, and manage risk.
This is a hybrid role. There is a requirement to be present a minimum of two days per week (Monday and Tuesday) in Waltham Forest Town Hall. Please note that service demand may require you to be in the office more frequently.
Interviews will be conducted at Waltham Forest Town Hall week beginning 4th November 2024.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Identifying user needs and turning them into data and analytics requirements.
2. Building and maintaining collaborative relationships with senior stakeholders, partners and colleagues.
3. Supporting and influencing within the team to deliver on our agreed priorities.
4. Identifying, assessing, analysing and mapping appropriate data to use in new analytics products.
5. Developing and deploying reproducible analytics.
Qualifications and Requirements:
1. Proven experience working in an analytical role with a background in either Children's or Adults social care preferred.
2. Demonstrable technical expertise in a range of business intelligence and analytics tools, such as Power BI, SQL, R and Python.
3. Strong communication skills and experience of presenting analysis to senior audiences to inform decision-making and prioritisation.
4. Tenacity and ambition to drive innovation and improvement in the use of data.
5. Ability to collaborate and build effective relationships across the organisation and with partner agencies.
