Flexsource NI, part of the CPL Group, are delighted to be partnering a large public sector client in their recruitment of an IT Project Manager on a fulltime temporary contract, with a starting salary of £42,356 per annum.
The role:
1. Work within IT Programme Governance Model based on MSP and Prince2/Agile.
2. Directly support the Head of IS Programme Management to implement and achieve the IT Programme of Work objectives aligned to Corporate Objectives and IT Strategy.
3. Own, manage and deliver projects against agreed objectives, budget and timelines measured against Time, Cost and Quality.
4. Direct end to end responsibility and ownership for the Definition, Documentation and Delivery of the project.
5. Define key deliverables for the project.
6. Manage project risks and interdependencies, including the development of contingency plans.
7. Manage, Direct and Motivate Project Team(s) which may comprise of both internal staff and external contractors to achieve project objectives.
8. Manage resources and plan work to achieve project objectives.
9. Preparation and reporting to the Project Board through Prince 2 Management Products including Highlight Reports, End Stage Reports, Risk and Issue Logs.
10. Provide effective project stakeholder relationships at all levels both internally and externally.
11. Produce high quality Prince 2 project documentation to include Project Briefs, Project Initiation Documents, Business Cases, Management Reports, Lessons Learnt Reports and End Project Reports.
12. Develop high quality Project Plans for the delivery of project and monitor progress.
13. Identify technical delivery mechanisms for the implementation of business systems projects with third party technology providers.
14. Responsible for maintaining and updating of project spend including using appropriate Corporate Financial Systems for capital expenditure project planning.
15. Manage any project team allocated to projects; both direct and matrix resources.
Requirements:
1. 4+ years of project management experience using both Waterfall (Prince2) and Agile methodologies.
2. Proven ability to manage internal and external stakeholder relationships.
3. Qualifications in project Management.
4. Experience in the commercial or service management of contracts and suppliers particularly within a technology environment and development of ITIL based service contracts is desirable.
5. Experience dealing with budgets in excess of £250k is desirable.
