About the role
This is a strategic role to lead the professional services as well as to advise and work with the Head of Department on strategic development and planning in the Centre for Environmental Policy, which is about to embark upon a period of significant change. In addition, the post will take on a role for the Faculty Office to lead strategic projects as directed by the Faculty Chief Operating Officer.
What you would be doing
You will work closely with the Head of Department and senior academic staff to drive the future direction of the Centre for Environmental Policy. You will be responsible for the professional services functions in the Centre and coordinate strategic planning. As part of the senior professional services leadership community for the Faculty of Natural Sciences, you will be liaising across the university to represent the Centre and contribute to Faculty and university-wide initiatives.
What we are looking for
* Experience of strategic development and planning, especially in partnership and in support of senior academic staff.
* Experience of leading teams and projects.
* Experience of the strategic and operational management of significant financial responsibilities.
* Experience of higher education preferred but not essential if a candidate can demonstrate experience of working in a similarly large and complex environment.
