Job Title: Account Manager
The Account Manager plays a vital role in maintaining and expanding relationships with key private sector clients. This role is responsible for ensuring high client retention, driving growth within existing accounts, and strengthening partnerships to maximise value. The Account Manager will work closely with internal teams to deliver seamless services, optimise contract performance, and identify opportunities for service enhancement.
Key Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management
* Manage and nurture relationships with existing private sector clients, particularly Private Medical Insurers (PMIs) and employee benefits providers.
* Ensure contractual obligations are met and identify opportunities to enhance service offerings.
* Act as the primary point of contact for strategic key accounts, addressing client needs and concerns in a timely manner.
Revenue Growth & Retention
* Develop strategies to retain and grow existing accounts, increasing revenue and engagement.
* Proactively present new services and improvements to clients.
* Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling within existing partnerships.
Market Engagement & Networking
* Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to raise brand awareness.
* Build relationships with key industry stakeholders, such as amii and REBA.
Reporting & Insights
* Monitor and analyse account performance to provide strategic recommendations.
* Provide regular reports on client activity, satisfaction, and commercial outcomes.
Collaboration & Coordination
* Work closely with product to feedback market trends and client needs.
* Collaborate with Business Development and Client Operations to ensure a smooth transition from sales to account management.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
* Client retention and satisfaction levels
* Growth in revenue from existing accounts
* Successful contract renewals and upsells
* Supporting the adoption and implementation of new products
Skills & Qualifications
* Experience: Experienced in an account management role within the PMI sector.
* Agile: Ability to pivot quickly and juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
* Commercial experience: Strong commercial, problem-solving, analytical and negotiation skills.
* Relationship management: Excellent communication skills, ability to explain and present complex ideas.
* Strategic thinking: Identifying market opportunities and trends to grow and retain existing customers.
* Team collaboration: Able to work effectively across internal and external teams.
