PFC Careers are looking for a Health and Safety Manager on a PT basis to work for an established medium sized main contractor based in West Lothian. The client in question are well respected within the market and benefit from a lot of repeat business. They focus on new builds and extensions within the commercial/industrial market. Projects can go up to about £5m in value. They have a flat management structure with the directors being still very much hands on. The role will involve a mixture of site audits as well as helping develop and improve the Health and Safety strategy. Experience working for a main contractor is preferable as all their work is main contract. You must be suitably NEBOSH/IOSH qualified and have the ability to work productively with site teams to ensure the best standards are met. You will report in to the Directors on a weekly basis. You will also assist in the overseeing of a more junior member of staff. The client anticipate the role on a 3 day per week basis, but this can be flexible. The role can either be books in or on a day rate. The client are in the position to start the successful candidate ASAP.
