Purpose of the Role To assist with the smooth running of the shopping centre and to assist with all emergency situations. This includes providing a visible security presence, actively patrolling the centre malls including service corridors and perimeter. Assisting members of the public with all queries and concerns. Ensure all incidents are reported in compliance with customer and company policy and procedures. Ensure that all Health and Safety requirements are followed as per company policies and procedures which will include accident reporting / investigation. Undertake any other reasonable duties as required to meet the needs of the business. Assist the Security Manager and Centre Management with any reasonable or practical request Key Responsibilities Ensure compliance with all internal procedures, site processes and external bodies including enforcement agencies and auditory bodies Ensure a timely response to all security issues and events Be professional, pleasant, friendly, courteous and helpful at all times whilst carrying out duties to the highest levels. To ensure exemplary standards in personal grooming, strictly adhering to the site uniform requirements. Ensuring all incidents are managed in accordance with site policies and procedures. Liaising with the Security Supervisor/ Ops Manager proactively reacting to incidents and ensuring colleagues are fully briefed and supported at all times. To deal efficiently and effectively with emergencies including fire and bomb scares ensuring the onsite team are kept fully informed at all times. Diligent management and maintenance of site records / reference materials including Health & Safety records, Incident Forms and the site occurrence book Undertake any other reasonable duties as required to meet the needs of the business · To work the hours and shifts in accordance with conditions of employment · Ensure the centre is a safe & pleasant environment · Accurate record keeping with good attention to detail · Ability to always demonstrate high levels of customer service. Skills, Knowledge and Experience Good verbal and written communication skills. Able to articulate clearly and credibly with the management team, colleagues and members of the public Capability to work unsupervised and take responsibility. Aptitude to remain calm under pressure. Smart appearance. Flexible/can do attitude. Essential: Successful track record of delivering security solutions and first-class customer service to internal client base SIA Licence. Experience of working in a customer focused environment. First aid qualified or willing to work towards qualification. Desirable: Professional or further qualification in Security.
