ASSEMBLY TECHNICIAN REQUIRED ASAP READING. £27-28K/ANNUM. IMMEDIATE START AVAILABLE
Our client based near Reading is currently looking for an Assembly Technician. They are a world leader in the design, manufacture, and installation of seismic instrumentation used in seismology research, oil and gas exploration, and production. They are looking to recruit an Instrument Technician to assemble and build components for complex equipment, requiring strong Electro-Mechanical experience.
The company engages in a wide variety of engineering disciplines, ranging from intricate mechanical design challenges requiring micron level accuracy to large-scale mechanical systems, electronics, and software. They are on a sustained growth path and are looking for highly motivated individuals to join their growing team.
OBJECTIVES
The role of the Assembly Technician will be to assemble and build component parts to create quality products efficiently and consistently. Responsibilities include:
1. Supporting the Production Managers and Product Specialists to ensure timely delivery of products.
2. Carrying out manufacturing processes accurately and efficiently.
3. Maintaining high standards to contribute to a safe manufacturing process.
4. Interacting with the company enterprise resources planning tools (Epicor) to accurately book materials, parts, time, and expenses to manufacturing jobs.
DUTIES
The role will involve:
1. Accurately following both documented and verbal instructions to build complex equipment to high quality standards.
2. Mechanical small parts assembly, following clean handling processes.
3. Electrical & electronic assembly, including soldering, wiring, crimping, etc.
4. Complying with established manufacturing systems and quality processes.
5. Identifying opportunities to improve quality and efficiency.
6. Other duties as required.
