Job summary
This is a really exciting opportunity to be part of a newly developing multiagency pathway. We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic CAMHS or Children's Practitioner to join a newly establishing team providing training, professional consultation and specialist MDT response for Children and Young People who may be experiencing significant eating problems / ARFID.
To work alongside the wider system including across health, education and social care to develop an effective pathway. To drive forward and develop the pathway by working in collaboration with clinical specialists to ensure an effective MDT process.
To be a key part of the mobilisation of this new pathway. This role will provide a unique opportunity for the right individual, to develop or build on existing skills in project delivery and quality improvement with space for creativity in this new and exciting area.
Main duties of the job
* Lead and develop the offer of ARFID pathway.
* Develop and strengthen clinical pathways.
* Play a key role in the development of the MDT of professionals.
* Develop graduated response.
* Develop and deliver training and consultation functions.
* Work alongside VCSE partners where indicated to ensure safe and effective pathways and transitions.
* Lead in promoting, maintaining and developing the multi-disciplinary concept of care working.
* Develop therapeutic relationships with the client and their carers.
* Participate in research within area of clinical expertise where possible to raise understanding and awareness of good clinical practice.
* Actively engage in the organisations clinical governance initiatives, including participation in audit, clinical supervision and bringing critically evaluated evidence and research into practice.

Qualifications
Essential
* Qualification and Professional Registration in one of the following: Nursing, Allied Health (SaLT, OT).
* Extensive post registration experience.
Desirable
* Enhanced clinical qualification / training (e.g ACP, Independent Prescriber, FT-AN, CBT).
Experience
Essential
* Experience working with children and young people with complex social, emotional and mental health needs, in high levels of distress, including risk assessment and safety planning.
* Experience of working as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Experience of local authority child protection processes.
* Experience of supervising and supporting a nursing/healthcare team.
Desirable
* Experience of working in acute / inpatient / crisis settings and using the Mental Health Act.
