Ironmongery Scheduler - Barnsley
Our client is a supplier of BM Trada Fire rated doorsets and Architectural Ironmongery, and is a member of the Guild of Architectural Ironmongers.
They specialize in specifying and supplying ironmongery in the Commercial, Education, Residential, Healthcare, and Hospitality sectors.
Due to current workload, the role will mostly involve dealing with existing clients where targets are already being achieved.
Hours:
37.5 hours per week.
Monday-Thursday: 8am - 5pm (1hr lunch)
Friday: 8am - 1.30pm
Duties:
1. Using Intec Scheduling software to schedule and price Architectural Ironmongery specifications from information provided by clients.
2. Following through from start to completion of projects, including ironmongery order and delivery dates.
3. Ensuring ironmongery specified meets the requirements of fire door certification.
4. Working with the fire door team and organizing ironmongery samples for CNC cut-outs.
5. Organizing ironmongery products within the stock room, including stock levels of core products.
6. Becoming proficient in all aspects of the estimating department.
7. Developing and maintaining effective working relationships with customers while maintaining the highest level of professional conduct.
8. Communicating with the procurement team and other team members to ensure smooth running of projects.
9. Ensuring that all work leaving the estimating department has been checked before being sent to the client and is of an acceptable and high standard.
Relevant Experience:
1. 3+ years estimating and scheduling experience in Architectural Ironmongery.
2. Experience in understanding how to commercially analyze ironmongery schedules in conjunction with door schedules, general arrangement drawings, fire strategy drawings, lock suiting strategies, and NBS P21 specifications.
3. Good technical skills.
4. Knowledge of fire doors.
Key Competencies:
1. Preferably experienced using the Intec Door Scheduling software.
2. Competent in all Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
3. Organized and able to multitask.
4. Attention to detail.
5. Able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
6. Technically knowledgeable about products.
Relevant Education:
1. Minimum GCSE/O Level in Maths and English.
2. GAI Diploma (preferred but not essential).
