ROLE PURPOSE
Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and passionate learner-focused Adult Care Tutor to deliver high-quality, supportive, and engaging qualifications to candidates enrolled in their programmes in London and surrounding areas. You will be delivering Adult Care qualifications up to level 5.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Taking full responsibility for a caseload of 30 - 40 learners.
2. Engage and support learners in a face-to-face setting with some blended delivery and workplace observation to achieve qualifications in a timely manner.
3. Manage a caseload of learners effectively meeting OFSTED and Awarding Bodies requirements in teaching, learning, and assessment for learners.
4. Manage caseloads to ensure that KPIs are met.
5. Undertake induction, initial assessment, diagnostic, ILP, skills scan and reviews with learners ensuring feedback is provided and acted upon appropriately.
6. Develop scheme of work, lesson plans, and course resources for the delivery of the qualifications.
7. Maintain regular contact with employers throughout the full learning journey.
8. Deliver and manage learning of the qualifications using an e-portfolio system.
9. Embed functional skills in the delivery of the qualification and provide the relevant support and guidance to meet the required standards of the qualification.
10. Build and maintain good working relationships with employers, Job Centre Plus, and other relevant agencies.
11. Support a caseload of learners by providing effective advice, guidance, and training to progress into sustainable employment, work placement, apprenticeship, or further education.
12. Accurately and securely record learner progress, set targets, and agree on areas of improvement.
13. Ensure that 95% of learners achieve their qualification within the agreed timescales.
14. Embed British values, prevent, safeguarding, equality, and diversity throughout the teaching.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
1. Experience of teaching learners aged 16+.
2. Experience of assessing Adult Care qualifications up to level 3.
3. Relevant occupational competency gained from working within the care sector.
4. Experience of delivering work-based training.
5. Teaching qualification at level 4 or above.
6. Assessors/Verifiers Award D32/34 / A1, TAQA, CAVA.
7. Level 5 qualification in Health and Social Care.
