Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Practitioner
Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board
Are you ready to be part of a dynamic team, focused on embedding equality, diversity and inclusion and creating an equitable environment for all?
Our Organisational Development and Inclusion (ODI) team is looking for a new Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Practitioner to join us and be an important part of our progress towards an increasingly inclusive environment for our patients and our people across Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board (CTMUHB). If you are passionate about creating and embedding compassionate, just and equitable EDI solutions in a collaborative, dynamic and complex environment, we want to hear from you!
Main duties of the job
You will be a central part in the delivery of our Strategic Equality Plan (SEP), designing and delivering EDI interventions, and a range of varied work streams and projects, working with the Strategic Lead for Equality, Diversity and Inclusion and taking the lead where relevant.
Supported by and working as part of the broader ODI team, you'll partner with colleagues and leaders across the organisation, bringing your experience, knowledge, skills and enthusiasm to meet the evolving needs of our staff, patients and stakeholders.
This role is varied, challenging but rewarding: you'll see how we make a difference. You will regularly work using your own initiative and autonomy, giving you the chance to:
1. Use and develop your communication and influencing skills in order to achieve our goals, responding to challenges and raising awareness at all levels of our legal responsibilities and complex EDI issues.
2. Design and deliver EDI interventions, with the range of varied work streams and projects being driven by the SEP and the Welsh Government equality priorities, to improve cultural awareness and competency across the organisation.
3. Provide accurate and timely advice to staff at all levels within the organisation, building our colleagues' confidence in applying EDI principles and decision making.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
