The Role: As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you’ll be stepping into dynamic and inspiring classrooms, offering vital support to students with a range of additional needs. Your role will be pivotal in fostering confidence, engagement, and achievement among learners who need that extra bit of support. Your day-to-day may include: Providing one-on-one or small-group support for children with SEN, adapting to individual learning styles. Assisting in the implementation of tailored Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs). Collaborating with teachers and specialists to create inclusive and engaging learning experiences. Using creativity, patience, and enthusiasm to inspire students and help them unlock their potential. Offering emotional and behavioural support where needed to encourage positive learning experiences. However, you’ll thrive in this role if you have: Experience working with children, particularly those with SEN (in a school, care, or community setting). A resilient, proactive, and empathetic nature with a genuine desire to help children succeed. Adaptability and the ability to step into new settings with confidence. A willingness to learn, take initiative, and be part of a supportive, dynamic team. Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, CACHE, or equivalent) are a plus but not essential.
