Job Description:
As a logistic manager at NES Logistic Ltd, you will be responsible for overseeing logistics operations, including inventory management, supply chain coordination, transportation planning, cost control, performance monitoring, data management, improving business,customer relations.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development – Identifying and securing new customers
Procurement – Managing supplier relationships and purchasing processes
Inventory Management and Control : Managing inventory levels, tracking stock levels,
and ensuring accuracy.
Transportation and Fleet Planning: Planning and coordinating the transportation of goods, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
Warehouse Operations: Managing and organizing warehouse activities, including storage, handling, and order fulfillment.
Cost Analysis: Analyzing logistics costs, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and optimizing budget allocation.
Vendor and Supplier Relations: Managing relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure the timely and quality delivery of goods and services.
Quality Control: Ensuring the quality of products or materials during the transportation and storage processes.
Risk Management: Identifying and mitigating potential risks in the supply chain, such as delays, disruptions, or quality issues.
Consultancy Services : Providing consultancy services to company clients as part of the role.
LTL / FTL Pricing : Analyzing and setting competitive freight rates.
Qualifications:
A degree in a relevant field or Work Experiences as logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related discipline is often preferred.
Practical experience in logistics or supply chain management is crucial.
Strong analytical and organizational skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with logistics and supply chain software and tools is beneficial.
Excellent organization, project management and negotiation skills.
Understanding of relevant laws and regulations, especially in international logistics and shipping, is important for compliance.
Proven experience successfully operating within an operational supervisor/ management role within a distribution, logistical, transport environment.
5+ years of experience working in logistics, warehouse, or transportation operations is essential.
Fluency in written and spoken Turkish is a mandatory requirement for this role, because the majority of the drivers are Turkish and most of them have little / none English.
Strong understanding and ability of route planning is vital.
