Role Description
About the Role
You will lecture on Masters and short courses in explosive engineering, focusing on the safe handling, transportation, and storage of energetic materials and explosives. You will develop and deliver education, supervise MSc and PhD research projects, and advise CDS staff on explosives use in the lab. Additionally, you will promote external networks in explosive safety and engineering to foster development and investment. This is an Education and Scholarship-focused role.
About You
We are looking for a candidate with an MSc in explosive engineering or a related field, along with significant experience in explosive safety and technology. Practical experience with ordnance handling, knowledge of explosive regulations, and a teaching qualification (or willingness to obtain) is essential. You should have experience in lecturing at Masters level, delivering explosive demonstrations, and developing teaching programmes, as well as strong communication, project management, and teamwork skills.
