Nursery Preschool Manager We have a fantastic opportunity for an existing nursery/preschool Manager or experienced Deputy who is looking for new career opportunity, you will be in charge of the daily managerial duties and leadership of our beautiful 45 place nursery preschool. The nursery caters for children ages 2-5 years old. Our staff make the beautiful location of the nursery and all the children have daily outdoor play opportunities in the fresh air. We believe it is essential to optimise the area around us, to ensure the children can not only have fun but simultaneously learn about the environment and how we can make greener choices. The ideal candidate will have previous managerial experience within early years, excellent knowledge and understanding of the EYFS curriculum and be an inspirational leader. The ideal candidate will have: Experience of Early years managment 1 year Experience with early years nurseries/preschools 5 years Qualified to Level 3 or above in childcare / Early Years (MUST) The Nursery / Preschool Managers key responsibilities: Responsibility for the daily running of the nursery / preschool Partnership working with parents Leading and developing teamwork. Working with the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stages) Curriculum, care and supervision of the children with regard to their physical, emotional and intellectual needs Supervision of the planning and preparation of activities to develop all aspects of the child’s individual development in a stimulating atmosphere Ensuring developmental records and observations are kept. Maintaining staff ratios. Ofsted inspections, appraisals, funding, paperwork, dealing with outside agencies. Managing staff The role is full time working 4 or 5 days per week, but part time hours can be discussed as we appreciate a work life balance. :) Salary is negotiable, based on experience and qualifications and hours.
