Job Description Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN (Special Educational Needs) Teaching Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will support students with diverse learning needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), in a nurturing and inclusive educational environment. Responsibilities Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with SEN, assisting them with their academic and social development. Collaborate with the SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) and classroom teachers to implement personalized learning plans for students with SEN. Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages the participation and engagement of all students, regardless of their individual needs. Assist in the creation and adaptation of learning materials to accommodate the specific needs of students with ASD and ADHD. Implement behaviour management strategies to support students in regulating their behaviour and emotions. Qualifications Previous experience working with individuals with ASD and/or ADHD is highly desirable. A patient and empathetic nature, with a genuine passion for supporting the educational and personal development of individuals with SEN. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and external support professionals. Relevant qualifications in education, SEN support, or behavioural therapy are advantageous. Day-to-Day Work closely with individual students to provide tailored support in line with their learning needs and objectives. Collaborate with teachers to integrate inclusive practices into the classroom environment. Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers to provide updates on students' progress and discuss strategies for support. Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills in supporting individuals with SEN.
