Night Shift Electrical Engineer required for a well-established manufacturer based in Leicestershire. This is a permanent career opportunity for an experienced electrical engineer working a permanent night shift Monday to Friday, 21.30 – 05.30. The package offers a salary of up to £46000 plus enhanced holiday entitlement, a contributory pension scheme, and paid overtime.
Your key responsibilities will include the ongoing planned and preventative maintenance within a fast-moving manufacturing environment, ensuring that all equipment and services are maintained to the highest Health and Safety and operating standards. The need to reduce engineering downtime is crucial, therefore the need to respond rapidly to machine breakdowns and failures is crucial, working within the wider engineering team to deliver, develop, and improve maintenance schedules.
As a Night Shift Electrical Engineer, we are looking to find an engineer with NVQ Level 3 in electrical engineering or as a time-served/apprentice engineer, able to evidence at least 3-5 years of previous, relevant maintenance engineering experience. Reporting to the site engineering manager, you will undertake projects and assist with all on-site installations and machinery/equipment assessment. As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, there is an expectation to help train production operators in the operation of site machinery and equipment, endorsing high standards of work output, identifying any areas for immediate remedial action, and ensuring that all machinery and equipment performance is maintained at optimum levels.
You are responsible for all Health and Safety operating procedures, identifying, and managing risk, reporting on any accident, assessing near misses and any property damage caused at any time. A very challenging and rewarding mechanical engineering vacancy that offers career stability.
