Position: Young Persons Support Worker
Location: Leyton
Pay: £13.50 plus holiday pay = £15.13 per hour or £18.00 via umbrella company
Assignment: 3 months with potential permanent contract at the end
Hours: Mon - Fri, 09:00-17:00
We have a fantastic opportunity to join our social care client team's service in Leyton. They provide support and guidance to young individuals aged 18-24 who are transitioning from the care system or facing homelessness. The service supports clients with high support needs in a supported accommodation service aimed at helping them regain their footing and achieve their full potential and independence.
Key Details:
1. Caseload: You'll be responsible for supporting and guiding a caseload of 6 clients, working closely with them to address their individual needs and aspirations.
2. The service: A supported accommodation project for housing 8 young people with medium support needs (aged 18-24)
Responsibilities:
3. Provide housing management support to ensure a safe and stable living environment for our clients.
4. Offer guidance and signposting to help clients access employment, education, and training opportunities.
5. Address health and wellbeing concerns by connecting clients with necessary services and resources.
6. Arrange and carry out 1-1 key work sessions with each young person within the case load around the promotion of independent living skills, goal setting and emotional support
