Maintains up to date clinical skills and knowledge for own profession and maintains awareness of professional issues across all AHP professions, supporting the AHP Professional Leads through the appraisal of research and evidence actively seeking out new sources. Demonstrate personal accountability in their everyday practice and an understanding of their responsibility for staff to which they delegate actions through education. Contributes to the improvement of patient care and patient safety by ensuring staff clinical competence is monitored and reported to necessary assurance groups, escalating issues as required. Line management as required of colleagues within the wider Clinical Education and Development Team. The post holder will provide support access to appropriate development, to maintain a competent workforce, providing clinical leadership to the Clinical Services in supporting transfer of theory to practice. The post holder will be a registered AHP, ideally with a teaching qualification or experiential knowledge. As a registered professional the post holder is required to adhere to relevant Professional standards and guidelines of practice, education and conduct.
