We are establishing a new and exciting team working with neurodiverse adults that require the support of adult social care. This team will focus on enabling people to live their lives as independently as they can as they live with neurodiversity alongside other people.
This is an exciting opportunity to help us shape how we can best work alongside people that live with neurodiversity every day. As a newly established team, we will be learning from the people we work with as the team develops their skills to enable them to achieve their ambitions and aspirations.
Main Responsibilities
As an Intensive Support Worker, you will work alongside Social Workers using a range of skills to support people that live with neurodiversity on a daily basis. You will have an enabling approach to support people to develop their daily skills alongside strategies to promote their independence.
You will also:
1. Work with adults, their families and carers to promote stability enabling them to remain safe and well and maintain positive relationships.
2. Undertake flexible and imaginative approaches in offering support to adults, their families and carers.
3. Promote good outcomes for the person.
4. Take case responsibility for cases where there is not a requirement that this is held by a Social Worker.
5. Undertake the completion of relevant assessments under the specific direction of a Social Worker/Senior Practitioner.
6. Participate in Planning Meetings and Reviews and all other relevant meetings.

1. Have experience of working with individuals with neurodiversity and their families.

3. Be a real team player, able to flex to the needs of the team.
4. Have a proven track record of a person-centred, and asset-focused outlook with high professional standards.
