The Client:
My client provides a single-source software product, delivered as a cloud service, with sophisticated customisation facilities. The software covers areas such as works management, work planning and co-ordination, quality and safety inspections, customer service management, routine maintenance, contract and contractor management, financial control, surveys and capital projects, life-cycle projections, and associated GIS functionality, including mobile apps, interfaces, alerts, emails, dashboards, and extensive report options.
The company is well-established in developing and supplying Works and Asset Management systems to local government and utility services sectors, with a history of ethical business practices and consistent profitability.
Several years ago, they became an employee-owned company, meaning every employee is a co-owner of the company with certain ownership benefits and responsibilities.
The Role:
We are looking for a proactive and motivated Project Manager to join their team. Responsibilities include overseeing and coordinating projects, contributing to project planning, preparing and maintaining documentation, reviewing contracts and financials, monitoring project activities, and evaluating overall project success.
Responsibilities:
1. Project Planning: Prepare detailed plans, collaborate with stakeholders, secure and allocate resources, and conduct feasibility analysis.
2. Evaluate and Monitor Progress: Establish performance indicators, monitor project status, and alert colleagues if the project is at risk.
3. Project Management: Complete operational aspects of Project Management procedures, coordinate with stakeholders, and maintain project collateral.
4. Create Documentation: Create and maintain project documentation, including schedules, resource plans, RAID Logs, meeting agendas, and status reports.
Requirements:
The successful applicant will be highly organised with first-class communication skills. You must champion project objectives, take a diplomatic approach to challenges, and manage multiple tasks and projects effectively.
Previous Project Management experience is required. Familiarity with Prince2 methodology is beneficial, but training will be provided. Good hands-on technical knowledge around software integration (APIs – Restful / SOAP) and experience with MS Project, Salesforce, and Excel is advantageous.
