Business Development Manager – Exhibitions & Events
Location: Coventry (with domestic and international travel)
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 DOE + Commission
Working hours: Monday to Thursday – 8.30am – 5pm & Friday 8.30am – 3pm

About the Role:
As a Business Development Manager, you will be tasked with sourcing, pitching, and consulting with companies that will exhibit at events. This role is predominantly phone-based from their offices in Coventry, with the opportunity to attend competitor exhibitions across the UK and abroad.
What will I be doing as a Business Development Manager?
1. Build and maintain relationships with new and existing clients.
2. Achieve set revenue targets, both individually and as part of a team.
3. Make outbound calls (database provided) and manage incoming leads generated by marketing.
4. Pitch to clients, generating quotes and following through to closing.
5. Attend competitor exhibitions domestically and internationally to generate new business.
6. Manage floorplans, post-sales service, and client account management.
7. Ensure that clients are satisfied with the onsite service at exhibitions, going above and beyond when necessary.
About You:
We’re looking for someone who is results-driven, highly organised, and thrives in both a phone-based and face-to-face sales environment. You’ll ideally have a minimum of 2 years of B2B sales experience, with a proven track record of hitting and exceeding targets.
1. Ideally you will have 4 years B2B sales experience.
2. Strong experience with phone-based selling and face-to-face appointments.
3. Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
4. Ability to build lasting relationships with clients.
5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
6. Self-motivated, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
