Job Summary
Applications are invited for this full-time Medical International Training Fellow (STR3+ Equivalent). This will be part of the MTI Scheme via the RCoA and AoMRC.

Main duties of the job
1. Provide anaesthetic services as scheduled by the Anaesthetic Department, including pre-operative assessment and post-operative support.
2. Allocate at least one third of theatre time to designated subspecialty training, supervised by a Consultant.
3. Participate in four separate on-call rotas, covering emergency theatre work, obstetric anaesthesia, intensive care, with supervision by a more senior ST-Trainee and available Consultant advice.
4. Work according to theatre and shift times: 7:00 am - 6:30 pm, twilight duty, obstetric night duty, ICU duties.
5. Respond to out-of-hours emergencies, including cardiac, obstetric, and trauma emergencies, in an appropriate manner.
6. Conduct routine or emergency surgical lists, maternity cover, and intensive care work as per rota experience.

Person Specification
Essential Qualifications:
* MBBS or equivalent
* FRCA, MD, or equivalent by appointment
Desirable: ALS/ATLS certification
Experience:
* At least 4 years post-registration experience
* Experience in acute/emergency medicine or anaesthesia
* Minimum 3 months in adult intensive care
* Eligible for full GMC registration
* Evidence of GMC Foundation competencies and Specialist Training in Anaesthesia
Skills/Knowledge:
* Arterial and central venous cannulation skills
* Basic IT skills
Language Skills: Demonstrable proficiency in English (IELTS scores or undergraduate training in English)
Other Requirements: Full GMC registration, DBS check, and UK professional registration.
