Job Description - UK Regulatory Compliance - Analyst - Regulatory Liaison and Reporting (24021359)
How will you make an impact in this role?
This role will support the Director for Regulatory Affairs and Testing in the production and uplift of various internal reports and assist in the management of regulatory change initiatives as required.
Duties will include:
* Preparing management reports and information, in particular for Boards, internal committees and regulators as required.
* Take ownership of BAU regulatory reporting and assist in the delivery of ad-hoc information requests.
* Work closely with the Director and Senior Manager, Regulatory Affairs to respond appropriately to the regulators (FCA, PSR, ICO) and other stakeholders where relevant and in conjunction with the Business.
* Assist in horizon scanning activities and working to support the Business in the analysis of regulatory concepts in areas such as the Consumer Duty and Operational Resilience.
* Enhancing processes and documentation for the team as required.
* Regulatory Change – support horizon scanning activities, working with stakeholders across the Business to discuss changes and implement where appropriate.
* Regularly liaises with first, other second and third line teams to discuss and communicate compliance activities, and understand business needs and current issues in the market.
* Assist in producing and maintaining relevant compliance policies and procedures as appropriate.
* Provide insight and reporting to the Director Regulatory Affairs and Testing on Regulatory insights, interactions, and findings.
* Keep up to date a working knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and company policies to identify the legal obligations applicable to American Express.
Minimum Qualifications:
* Experience of working in a compliance or risk function at a financial services firm, consultancy or regulator.
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
* Working knowledge of the UK Retail Banking/Payments industry, and the applicable regulatory environment (FCA/PRA).
* Ability to manage competing priorities to completion and to deal with rapid changes of priority.
* Analytical and detail focused with the ability to identify anomalies, trends and make recommendations.
* Self-motivated, energetic team player with proven ability to work effectively in a matrix organization and across international markets with all levels of management.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills.
