- Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
- Hours: Monday-Friday, 09:00-15:30
- Salary: £83-£90/day (inclusive of 12.07% holiday pay)
- Contract: Temp to Perm
- Build meaningful relationships with pupils, ensuring they feel safe and supported.
- Work closely with teachers to deliver structured, engaging, and differentiated learning activities tailored to pupils with ASD.
- Support pupils with social communication, emotional regulation, and sensory needs, using ASD-friendly strategies.
- Promote personal growth, independence, and positive behaviour in line with the school's approach.
- Assist with classroom routines and adapt to the evolving needs of pupils.
- Provide one-to-one or small group support to help pupils engage with the curriculum.
- Offer assistance with personal care and therapy sessions, when required.
- Essential: Previous experience supporting pupils with ASD in an educational or care setting.
- A compassionate, patient, and proactive approach to working with children.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A commitment to safeguarding, equality, and promoting the welfare of young people.
- A valid Enhanced Child and Adult DBS check (or willingness to apply for one).
- Ability to commute to Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire.
