Role Overview:
To effectively manage all Conference facilities within the hotel. To organise the set up and service of all conference and events within the hotel, ensuring that all C&E employees are fully aware of the Brand Standards. Aiming to maximise sales and profits and wherever possible, exceed guests expectations. This role will include operational shift coverage across a seven-day senior management rota.
Main Responsibilities:
* Manage your team to ensure the correct set up of all conferences and events as detailed on the function sheets, whilst adhering to time schedules.
* To anticipate customers needs whenever possible and react to these to enhance the customer satisfaction.
* Liaise with customers and conference organisers throughout the day to ensure complete guest satisfaction.
* To ensure that all guest feedback, whether positive or negative is dealt with.
* Ensure that all conference and event timing schedules are adhered to as per function sheets.
* To maximise all sales potential of both food and beverage.
* Ensure the complete understanding and use of all conference A.V. Equipment
* Set up and stock Function bar to par stock levels whilst ensuring the security of stock at all times.
* Ensure that extreme care is shown in the handling of money and accept responsibility for the C&B float and be responsible for any Keys left in your possession as laid down in the Hotels Procedures.
* Ensure that efficient shift handovers, briefing and debriefing sessions occur regularly.
* Ensure wage costs are controlled in line with business levels indicated through weekly forecasting Sheets.
* Creation of weekly rotas, ensuring that rotas and payroll are completed within deadlines.

* Carry out recruitment and selection of C&E employees.
* Responsible for the people management aspects of the role, including managing attendance, performance, H&S, completing reviews, 1-2-1s, annual appraisals and training.

* Can demonstrate ability to deal with guest complaints in a calm and positive manner and bring to a suitable conclusion
