Do you have strong air import/export experience with a good understanding of dangerous goods and temperature-controlled cargo procedures?
I am recruiting for an experienced Air Freight Operations Clerk for a repeat client close to Heathrow Airport, who specializes in the transportation of hazardous/dangerous goods and time-sensitive shipments. My client serves both domestic and international customers and prides themselves on providing exemplary customer service. This is an office-based, Monday-Friday position, working from 8am-5pm with a 1-hour lunch break.
Main Responsibilities:
* Handling imports and exports for dangerous/hazardous goods as well as time-sensitive and temperature-controlled cargo
* Liaising with customers for all aspects of their shipments.
* Finding solutions for highly regulated shipments mostly via Air, as well as some Road & Sea.
* Making import/export airline bookings.
* Handling customs compliance and declarations.
* Tracking shipments and providing timely updates.
* Handling customer invoicing and creditor invoice processing.
Key Requirements:
* Strong air freight operations experience, ideally within a freight forwarding company.
* Import/export experience
* Experience shipping dangerous goods, temperature-controlled, or time-sensitive shipments.
* Driving license and access to own vehicle (essential)
* Customs handling experience (ideal)
* Experience using Sequoia or other similar freight systems
