Job Title: ABA Class Lead
Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: £31,000 - £33,000 + probation bonus
Start Date: February 2025 or as soon as possible thereafter
MLK Education Search is working with an Outstanding Independent Special School in London that wishes to appoint a confident, passionate ABA Class Lead as soon as possible.
The school is an inclusive co-educational provision for children with Autism aged between 5 and 16 years and is split across two sites. Each pupil receives an individually devised programme based on a pupil-centred, multi-professional approach to learning, aimed at increasing communication and independence.
This is a rare chance for a committed ABA specialist to join an 'Outstanding' provision and pair with a supportive CEO and SLT to grow and develop the offering which currently supports children from over 17 Local Authorities.
The ABA Class Lead will have management responsibility for a team of 6 ABA Tutors as well as a class of 6 pupils; the ABA Supervisor will have a caseload responsibility of up to 12 pupils across classes.
Job Purpose
* Use and develop knowledge and understanding of Applied Behavioural Analysis (ABA) and/or Verbal Behaviour (VB) approaches and methodology.
* Ensure that personal knowledge of ABA/VB is kept up to date, and shared with relevant staff.
* Ensure that the ethos reflects the agreed aims, principles of learning, and the policy on equal opportunities, thereby promoting the general progress and wellbeing of each pupil.

Qualifications and Experience
* Hold a Masters in Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) or a relevant subject (or be working towards).
* Be a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) (or be working towards).
* Have successful experience within a specialist environment supporting children and young people with Autism.
