The role will be supporting the Finance unit to deliver Hertsmere Vision 2024-27. You will report to and support the Chief Accountant in their capacity as Hertsmere’s Deputy Section 151 Officer and will be responsible for the Financial Information Systems ensuring that integrity and adequate controls are maintained at all times.
You will be responsible for the efficient and effective operational management, service delivery and quality provision of the council’s accounts receivable, accounts payable and payroll teams and will manage the council’s debt management operation. You will be proactively seeking ways to improve the effectiveness and efficiencies within systems, resources and tools you use.
The post is offered on a full time, permanent basis (36 hours per week).
