First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Project Manager on behalf of one of our clients.
Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Working under the applicable regulations and requirements of the company and the industry.
2. Assisting with technical aspects of conducting hydrographic survey operations including vessel mobilisation, data acquisition, processing and reporting of hydrographic data.
3. Assisting with technical queries from clients and team members and problem-solve for colleagues working offshore.
4. Assisting with compilation of company hydrographic survey procedures.
5. Working as part of a team of technical specialists.
6. Liaising with clients to provide tenders and results in appropriate formats.
7. Supporting the hydrographic survey manager to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
8. Contributing to hydrographic survey strategies regarding projects, tasks, and operations current and future.
9. Supporting the hydrographic survey manager to ensure that project/department milestones/goals are met.
10. Developing an extensive knowledge of hydrographic and department processes.
11. Reporting any potential technical issues relating to clients, project over-runs, etc. to Hydrographic Survey Manager and/ or Managing Director.
12. Assisting with QA for projects within the hydrographic survey department.
13. Any other duties and responsibilities as required for the role.
14. Ensure that the requirements of the Health, Safety, Environment & Quality procedures, insofar as they affect works under their control, are properly implemented.
15. Responsible for ensuring that risk assessments and method statements are followed by staff and contractors under their control.
16. Initiate, implement and record safety inspections on projects they are directly involved with.
17. Communicate to all personnel the requirements of the Health & Safety and Environmental procedures and applicable statutory requirements and ensure compliance.
18. Continually engage with project teams and contractors to ensure that high HSEQ standards are being maintained at all times.
Skills and Qualifications:
19. At least 5 years’ experience in project management.
20. Previous experience in a similar role.
21. Live locally or willing to commute to Hampshire office.
22. Full UK driving licence.
23. Have pride and passion for high quality survey work and customer service.
24. Effective communication skills.
