The Royal Surrey County Hospital is looking for a Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join our well-established rotation. We have fantastic opportunities for therapists who have completed their basic rotations and are looking to expand their knowledge, skills, and experience within the acute setting.

Job responsibilities
Directly responsible for the management of own caseload of patients with diverse presentations and complex physical and psychological conditions, referred for Occupational Therapy assessment, rehabilitation, treatment planning, and discharge management.
Assists in the management of the specialist team providing, developing, and planning an Occupational Therapy service to patients for this client group. The post holder will act as a source of expertise, demonstrating and maintaining knowledge, skills, and experience in this specialist role.

Qualifications
Essential
* Diploma/degree in OT by recognised awarding body e.g. Royal College of Occupational Therapists.
* Must satisfy the criteria for full membership of the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
* Further qualifications/study.
* Driving licence (and use of own car for work purposes).
Desirable
* An approved Occupational Therapy supervisor for OT/PT degree students.
Knowledge and Skills
Essential
* Knowledge of the role of Occupational Therapy for people with a wide range of physical dysfunction.
* Previous experience relating to specialist area.
* Experience of working in an acute hospital setting.
* Knowledge of relevant NHS and SS legislation.
* Experience with community/mental health conditions.
Desirable
* Experience of delivering teaching and training sessions.
