Daily Rate: £90 – £100 per day
Contract Type: Full-time, Term Time Only
Elevate Supply is currently supporting a primary school in Sutton Coldfield to recruit a Psychology Graduate for an exciting full-time Teaching Assistant role. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on school-based experience, particularly if you're considering a future career in educational psychology, teaching, or child mental health.
The Role
You will be working closely with class teachers to support pupils across Key Stages 1 and 2, with a focus on emotional regulation, social skills, and learning interventions. The role will involve a mix of one-to-one and small group work, with a particular focus on children who may have additional learning or emotional needs (e.g. SEMH, ASD, ADHD).
Key Responsibilities
1. Support individual pupils and small groups to access the curriculum
2. Help pupils develop emotional resilience and positive learning behaviours
3. Assist the class teacher with daily routines and classroom management
4. Implement intervention strategies under the guidance of the SENCO or teaching staff
5. Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils and staff
What We’re Looking For
1. A degree in Psychology (or a closely related subject)
2. A genuine interest in child development, mental health, or inclusive education
3. A positive, adaptable, and empathetic approach
4. Experience supporting children in any setting is desirable but not essential
