This is a brilliant opportunity to work as part of the MEH Alliance on the prestigious Hinkley Point C Nuclear project, integrating and coordinating the delivery of all main MEH, cabling, and associated support services.
The role
As an HVAC Construction Engineer, you’ll lead, manage, and motivate the team through the implementation of best practices, support continuous improvement programmes, and ensure compliance with all nuclear safety and site license requirements.
Day to day, you’ll deliver HVAC Construction Workpacks to support the MEH Alliance programme while demonstrating positive HSE leadership and building a strong HS&E culture throughout the construction life cycle of the Project.
* Enable the use of the Procon system to support the construction works and progress reporting of the MEH Alliance.
* Ensure compliance with the Work Authorisation and Permit systems operated by NNB.
* Coordinate safe access routing to workfaces to support the MEH Alliance construction works.
* Facilitate the topographical and other surveying required for the MEH Alliance construction works.
* Prioritise and manage documentation to enable construction works as per the level 4 plan (e.g., T-3 months accepted prior to works).
* Ensure documents are compliant with the latest works information and other MEH documentation.
This is a full-time role with 37 hours per week based on the Hinkley Point C, Bridgwater, Somerset.
Essential experience of the HVAC Construction Engineer
* Experience working on major construction projects with a proven track record in a highly regulated sector.
* Knowledge and experience in Safe Systems of Work.
* Experience delivering and operating at Engineer or Senior Engineer level, including within Joint Ventures.
Qualifications for the HVAC Construction Engineer
* Degree qualification or equivalent vocational training and experience of installing HVAC systems.
