At CrossReach, we’re on the lookout for caring, compassionate and capable people to join our team as a Care Worker. Whether you’re experienced in care or looking for a meaningful change, this could be the opportunity you’ve been waiting for.
What will you be doing?
You’ll be helping people to live as independently as possible – with dignity, respect, and the kind of support that really makes a difference. Your day could include:
* Offering personal care and support in a way that suits the individual
* Helping with life skills like cooking, budgeting, or household tasks
* Encouraging people to enjoy hobbies, learning, and social activities
* Supporting with appointments, benefits, and official paperwork
* Being there during life’s challenges – offering calm, compassionate care
* Contributing to care plans and reviews, and keeping accurate records
* Taking part in early, late, weekend and sleepover shifts as part of a supportive rota
You’ll work as part of a dedicated team, but also have the confidence and trust to make thoughtful decisions on your own when needed.
What we’re looking for:
* A caring nature and a strong sense of responsibility
* An understanding of – or a willingness to learn – what it means to support someone with compassion and dignity
* Confidence in using basic technology (just enough to write up notes and use email)
* Ideally, an SVQ 3 in Social Care – but if you don’t have this yet, we’ll help you work towards it
* A values-led approach that supports CrossReach’s Christian ethos, while welcoming people of all faiths and none
What you’ll get from us:
* A warm and supportive team who’ll have your back
* Ongoing training and development opportunities
* The chance to grow your skills and build a meaningful career
* A role where your kindness, patience and empathy are truly valued
Whether you’re just starting out or bringing years of experience, if you’ve got a heart for helping others and a steady, reliable presence, you could thrive here.
