Job Description
Qualified Social Worker, Head of Service, West Midlands Council, Child Protection Team - Must be a Qualified Social Worker with a minimum of 10 years+ UK Social Worker experience within a Children's Social Work team.
The team works extremely well together to ensure the safety of children under the close supervision of a supportive Team Manager.
The responsibilities will include:
1. Experienced, forward-thinking, and dynamic interim Head of Service, with a wealth of child safeguarding knowledge.
2. Leading and directing all DCSC social work teams in providing consistent high-quality service delivery.
3. Improving outcomes for children and young people with creative skills to support and deliver a culture of excellence and good practice in an inclusive environment.
4. Good understanding of DCSC practice and process.
5. Strong professional relationship skills, leading multi-agency partnership working with education and health, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills at all levels.
6. Confident in delivering strategic organisational and change/improvement management plans.
7. Working alongside assistant directors to ensure optimum performance management and best practice at all times.
8. 37 hours per week (flexible by negotiation).
9. 3 month Temporary Contract.
10. Start date subject to DBS and reference clearance.
