Lead database management and access, making a direct impact on our educational effectiveness.
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Database Administrator and Access Lead to join our MIS team at Inspire Education Group. We are looking for someone with experience of maintaining, monitoring, owning, tracking and resolving database related incidents and requests, providing a responsive, flexible and pro-active service, and supporting with the implementation and maintenance of integration processes across the full business cycle. Experience and knowledge of managing a SQL server estate is essential. You will be part of a team that supports Group systems through the management of databases supporting applications, data and business intelligence.
As the Database Administrator (DBA) and Access Lead at Inspire Education Group, you will take ownership of our critical data infrastructure, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our core MI systems.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Database Management: Oversee and optimise SQL Server databases to ensure peak performance, security, and data integrity of MI systems.
2. Data Protection: Implement robust backup and recovery procedures to minimise downtime and safeguard critical data and contribute to the disaster recovery plan.
3. Performance Optimisation: Monitor and optimise database performance, ensuring fast query execution speeds.
4. Access Control Management: Lead the management and development of secure and appropriate access to all MIS and associated data and services.
5. Security and Integrity Leadership: Establish and maintain a high level of security and integrity for all MIS data systems, implementing effective business continuity strategies, including a robust MIS disaster recovery plan, meeting RPO and RTO timescales.
6. Policy Development and Implementation: Develop and implement MIS policies that meet legislative and best practice requirements, particularly around data access and security.
