About the role As a Retail Optimisation Manager, you’ll play a key role in shaping the future of our stores by ensuring our Retail Labour Plan is as efficient, flexible, and customer-focused as possible. Working closely with teams across the business—including People, IT, L&D, and Payroll—you’ll continuously develop and refine our Retail Operating Model, making sure it evolves to meet changing customer demands and business needs. If you love problem-solving, driving efficiency, and collaborating with teams to make things happen, this is the role for you Key Accountabilities Responsible for using all existing datasets to understand customer demand profiling to ensure any solutions proposed are relevant to increasing the colleagues to customer ratio. Responsible for proposing changes to all areas of the Retail Operating model, including Contracts, Work patterns, Roles & responsibilities, Skills requirements, Break management and Peak resource planning, and leading these changes through the business. Responsible for working alongside the People team to ensure any changes proposed have a positive impact on LTO Responsible for the development of any supporting collateral required for stores to understand and manage any changes to the Op model. Responsible for liaising with the People Team and IT to ensure all changes can be implemented from a legal and systematic perspective. Working as part of a team to ensure that any changes launched are captured and modelled by the Senior Analyst, and tracked by the Retail Deployment Manager, alongside any works being undertaken by the CI team being factored into any proposals. Responsible for supporting any strategic initiatives within Retail stores from an Op Model perspective (Fusion, M4M) Responsible for the development of the WFM solution (Dayforce) to support the monitoring of the labour spend to ensure this is optimised. Responsible for managing multiple change projects simultaneously, whilst ensuring that all key stakeholders are consistently updated with any live projects. Skills & Experience This person will be an experienced Operations professional with extensive experience working across retail stores and/or Garages. Experience within Deployment (WFM) & Capacity and analytics will be crucial with Dayforce knowledge desirable. This person will be able to share key business insight and change management plans to key stakeholders, whilst also supporting field managers with analysis and performance improvement plans. Ideally this person will have some project or programme management experience and be able to demonstrate examples of delivering macro-business change within a fast-paced high-change environment.
