Solar Roofer - Overview
Low Carbon Recruitment Ltd are currently working with one of the largest Solar PV installation companies who are seeking a permanent Roofer to carry out Solar PV installations in the local area. The company has been established since 2005 and has completed over 50,000 Solar PV installs on domestic properties. As such, their scheduling and organisation is second to none.
Within the role, you will work in a two-man team alongside an experienced Electrician, installing Solar PV systems on private domestic properties within the local area. You will work as a team to complete installations, installing and fixing the panels and running the cables through, which the electrician will then wire up and commission the system. Most systems range between 6-14 panels and some jobs will have a battery storage system in addition.
The company has been installing PV systems for 20 years and has 50+ crews working nationwide. They aim to make each install as simple as possible for their Engineers. All sites are technically surveyed prior to the installation starting, all scaffolding and required infrastructure will be set up prior to the team's arrival, and all materials are delivered to site.
You will only ever have one install per day; once the install is complete, your day is finished. This means if you have a smaller system and complete it by 2 pm, you can go home but will still be paid for a full day.
Solar Roofer - Requirements
1. 2+ years experience on Domestic Roofing Works
2. Previous experience installing Solar PV Systems (Desired)
3. Experience working on all types of roof including slate, tiled, and rosemary
4. Full UK Driving Licence
5. Willingness to work in a team
Solar Roofer - Salary and Remuneration
1. Salary of £35,000 + Bonuses for every job completed (OTE £48-50K)
2. Installer Bonus £50 per day (£13,000 per year)
