Children's Community Haemoglobinopathy Nurse
CLCH provides specialist community services to children and adults with sickle cell disease and thalassaemia. Following investment from NHS England to improve Sickle Cell Community Services in North West London, CLCH are recruiting for a Children's Community Haemoglobinopathy Nurse. This expanded service will provide nursing care to children with Sickle Cell in the boroughs of Ealing and Hillingdon, in addition to our current service in Westminster, Kensington & Chelsea and Hammersmith & Fulham.
We are seeking a RN (Child), with clinical experience in children's nursing, who is interested in gaining experience of nursing children with haemoglobinopathy conditions.. Training will be provided to ensure the knowledge and skills to do the role. The service works closely with the specialist team at the Brent Sickle Cell Service, who provide community nursing services to the boroughs of Brent and Harrow, and clinical supervision for Haemoglobinopathy across NWL ICB.
Main duties of the job
You will work alongside the Band 7 Specialist Children's Nurse, managing the caseload of children living with Haemoglobinopathy conditions within the boroughs of Westminster, Kensington & Chelsea, Hammersmith & Fulham, Ealing and Hillingdon, working with the wider team in offering clinical support to people with haemoglobinopathy conditions at different stages of their lives, from antenatal screening, throughout childhood, through to transitioning to services for adults living with a long term chronic condition. A new pathway of preconception counselling will be developed as part of this investment.

Qualifications
* RGN / RN Adult or Child (depending on role)
* Community Nursing Qualification
* NMC Registration
* Evidence of continuous personal and professional development.

* Evidence of further education in Haemoglobinopathy
