An outstanding opportunity awaits an Ofsted Registered Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations and planning of the house. The role involves ensuring compliance with Ofsted standards and meeting commissioner expectations. As a pivotal member of our management team within a well-respected Charity renowned in the sector, you'll report to the Regional Manager. As the Ofsted Registered Manager you'll collaborate with a dynamic team of passionate individuals dedicated to their work. Key Responsibilities of the Ofsted Registered Manager: Ensure the delivery of a high-quality, person-centred support service that prioritizes independence, choice, and dignity Respond promptly and with care to all new referrals within contractual and organisational timeframes Complete individual assessments thoughtfully and implement person-centred support plans to minimize risk and foster positive outcomes Develop effective systems and procedures for service delivery Ensure appropriate staffing levels with well-trained and empathetic colleagues Foster open communication with stakeholders Meet the management demands of a 24-hour service with a focus on maintaining a supportive environment, including effective out-of-hours on-call provision Proactively manage allocated budgets ensuring resources are used efficiently Promote a nurturing safeguarding culture, taking swift and compassionate action in response to incidents, allegations, or suspected abuse Leadership and Management: As an Ofsted Registered Manager you will lead by example, nurturing a culture of safety, effectiveness, and responsiveness Support all colleague needs, overseeing recruitment and implementing structured induction programs Establish clear objectives, conduct meaningful supervision sessions, and ensure training requirements are addressed Conduct regular supervision sessions and spot checks across all shifts to maintain quality standards Foster a positive and supportive atmosphere in the workplace Embrace personalised and strengths-based methods within the team, recognizing each person's unique abilities and preferences, and adjusting our approach accordingly Collaborate with senior management and other service leads to develop growth plans that align with organisational goals. Compliance, Governance & Regulatory Processes: Prepare for and lead the service through inspections, collaborating with regulatory bodies Maintain high-quality service standards through continuous improvement initiatives Facilitate regular quality and health & safety audit Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards Accurately record and report support activities as per legislative and organizational requirements Investigate and address complaints promptly and thoroughly Collaborate with safeguarding leads to address concerns in line with organisational policies Qualifications and Training: Level 5 Diploma in Leadership in Health & Social Care & Children & Young People’s Services or equivalent Care Certificate and knowledge of CQC regulatory framework/Care Act 2014 Skills, Knowledge, and Experience: Previous Registered Manager Strong understanding of legal and regulatory responsibilities, including CQC standards Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Proficient in Microsoft Office and internet tools Effective team management abilities, including recruitment and training Competence in crisis management and multitasking Experience in customer assessment and personalized support planning Ability to build positive relationships with stakeholders Skill in managing difficult conversations while maintaining professional standards Personal Qualities Leads by example Ability to work under pressure Sound creative problem-solving skills A work practice which promotes equality and diversity Adaptability Strong work ethic, self-motivated and proactive Dependable Team orientated Flexible approach to working with parents and carers, colleagues and other stakeholders
