Job Title: Mechanical Technician

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician to join our team at Bennett & Game Recruitment Ltd in Worcester. The successful candidate will be responsible for the build, service, and installation of rotational test equipment and supporting services and systems.
Key Responsibilities:
* Responsible for in-house build of DSG products and repair of other manufacturer's products
* In-house refurbishment of returned equipment i.e., dynamometers, test rigs, etc
* The installation of new and reconditioned equipment at customer premises
Requirements:
* Previous experience in the service of dynamometers or similar rotating machinery
* Understanding of engine and component testing theory
* Understanding of oil injection principles
* Understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
* Experience using hydraulic jacks
* Experience of using machine tools (lathe, drill etc)
* Competent in the use of Microsoft Office applications
* Quality, inspection and detailed review of product build and engineering errors to allow continuous improvement.
* Attention to Detail, Confidentiality, Reporting Skills, Numerate
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to use measuring equipment
* Ability to read and understand complex technical engineering drawings
* Apprentice trained or equivalent education level
* Experience of working in a workshop and on site
* Able to work in a team, but also take sole responsibility for complete jobs when required
* Understanding of Imperial and Metric sizes
* Full and clean driving license
* Knowledge of machining, welding and fabrication
Salary and Benefits:
* £26,000.00-£32,500.00 per year
* This role will be based at the Worcester site, but will include site work and occasional overseas travel
* The role is full-time a minimum of 40 hours across 5 days.
