About the role:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant with a specialism in Autism Spectrum Disorder to join our dynamic team in Colindale, London.
This full-time, long-term position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children with special educational needs. You will work closely with Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 students, supporting their learning and development within a nurturing and inclusive primary school environment.
Application Requirements:
• Relevant qualifications in Special Educational Needs or a related field is desirable.
• Previous experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder is essential.
• Strong communication skills, patience, and a genuine passion for working with children with SEN.
• Enhanced DBS check or willingness to undergo one.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in the educational and social development of students with ASD, both inside and outside the classroom.
• Implement and monitor Individual Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to the specific needs of each student.
• Provide behavioral support and implement strategies to promote positive behavior and emotional well-being.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external agencies to ensure the holistic development of each child.
