Position Title: Transportation Data Entry Specialist Position Status: Full Time Department: Transportation JOB SUMMARY The Transportation Data Entry Specialist is responsible for performing a variety of supportive clerical tasks to assist in the clerical functions of the program, along with responsibility for providing and documenting transportation services to clients of The Counseling Center. ESSENTIAL FUNCTION Essential functions are duties, which are essential or primary to the position or the reason the position exists. Positively represents program through appropriate interaction, personal appearance, and attitude Performs data entry functions including billing and client information. Performs reception duties including operation of telephone switchboard to properly direct calls, scheduling appointments, and maintaining appointment book. Completes clerical work as assigned such as filing, typing and generating reports. Provides transportation services to clients utilizing the agency vanor other designated vehicle. Maintain necessary documentation related to transportation services in a neat and timely manner. Schedule vehicle maintenance and maintain necessary documentation related to vehicle maintenance according to agency policy and procedure. Provide input regarding transportation scheduling. SECONDARY FUNCTIONS Secondary functions are duties, which are not exclusive of the position, can be performed by other positions; however, secondary duties are performed for the efficiency of The Counseling Center, Inc. Conducts intake and enrollment interview with clients as needed Performs any other duties assigned by the Program Coordinator/Director COMPETENCIES Knowledge/skill regarding office practices and procedures. Skill in operating office machinery with speed and accuracy Ability in the area of effective communication and interpersonal skills with public and co-workers Demonstrates appropriate understanding of working with confidential material and situations. Ability to understand and assimilate new information quickly. Ability to demonstrate safe driving practices. Ability to maintain accurate and timely records. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, INCLUDING TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE High School Diploma or equivalent. Prior experience in an office setting of at least one year preferred and/or formal secretarial training including computer experience. Prior experience working with chemically dependent individuals preferred. Good driving history record. Valid Ohio Motor Vehicle License required and ability to maintain insurability. Maintain CPR and First Aid Training. Knowledge about the disease of addiction, treatment, and recovery process of chemically dependent individuals, preferred.
