Description
1. Assisting in the preparation of tender and contract documents
2. Performing risk and value management to optimise solutions for the client
3. Assisting in establishing a client's requirements and undertaking feasibility studies
4. Providing advice on contractual claims and disputes
5. Maintaining awareness of the different contracts in current use
6. Understanding the implications of health and safety regulations
7. Ensuring that post-completion defect liability period obligations are met
8. Working with the project team to plan projects and measure and value the work done on site
Profile
A successful Assistant Quantity Surveyor should have:
1. A degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline
2. Strong numerical and budgeting abilities
3. Excellent knowledge of construction processes and materials
4. Proficiency in computer software for project management
5. Strong understanding of health and safety regulations
6. Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Job Offer
An attractive salary package of around £36,000 - £44,000 per annum
