Your new role
1. Financial Record Keeping:
• Maintain accurate financial records and ledgers.
• Process invoices, receipts, and payments.
• Reconcile bank statements and manage petty cash.
2. Budgeting and Reporting:
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
• Generate financial reports and statements.
• Analyse financial data to identify trends and variances.
3. Compliance and Audits:
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
• Assist with internal and external audits.
• Maintain documentation for audit purposes.
4. Administrative Support:
• Provide administrative support to the finance team.
• Manage office supplies and equipment.
• Handle correspondence and communication related to financial matters.
5. Customer and Vendor Relations:
• Communicate with customers and vendors regarding financial transactions.
• Resolve any issues or discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Maintain positive relationships with stakeholders.
6. System Management:
• Use accounting software and tools to manage financial data.
• Ensure data integrity and security.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system issues as needed.
What you'll need to succeed
* Mathematical Proficiency: Strong mathematical skills to handle financial calculations and manage budgets.
* Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy in financial records and transactions.
* Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple financial tasks and maintain organized records.
* Communication Skills: Effective communication for handling correspondence and working with other departments.
* Problem-Solving: Ability to address financial discrepancies and irregularities.
* Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with accounting software and financial systems.
* Financial Record Management: Experience in maintaining and updating financial records.
* Accounts Payable and Receivable: Handling invoices, payments, and tracking receivables.
* Financial Reporting: Preparing financial statements and reports.
