Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated individual to join the Elections Team to provide help and support during the election period. The post is a casual position and will be as required over the 12-week election period.
The successful candidate will support the Elections Team to ensure the effective and efficient administration of the electoral registration within Torfaen during election periods by supporting the successful introduction and administration of Voter ID and other requirements of the Elections Act as directed by the Elections & Business Manager.
Also:
1. To prepare ballot boxes in readiness for elections
2. Support the printing of all associated materials with revisions of the Register of Electors and Elector Lists
3. Provide general administrative support as required
4. To process absent vote applications and file as required

Qualifications / Experience:
Essential criteria:
5. Level 4 qualification on the credit and qualifications framework of wales or equivalent or suitable experience
6. Experience of undertaking detailed administrative processes in a service-oriented environment
7. First class organisational skills
