Hours:Monday-Sunday 3 x 12 hour shifts between 7am and 9pmtypically
As a MRI Radiographer you will be responsiblefor ensuring our patients receive the best standard of care whilegenerating high-quality images to supporttheir healthcare pathway. You will deliver an effective andprofessional service, working alongside your colleagues in adynamic and fast paced environment
* Carry outmagnetic resonance imaging procedures to best practice standards ofradiographic techniques (MHRA Guidance 2015, IR(ME)R 2017, Code ofClinicalPractice).
What youare responsible for:
* Providing agreat experience for patients attending MRI scanning, supportingthem through the process from referral toresults
* Running quality assurance checks onequipment and action as appropriate
* Respectingand working within patient's and service users' customs, values andspiritual beliefs, making sure their views are sought and takeninto account
* Performing triage functions ofreferrals, as required
* Supporting patientbookings and making sure patient information systems are maintainedwith accurate and up-to-dateinformation
* Completing competencyassessments
* Adhering to all operationalprocedures
* Maintaining a clean and safe workingenvironment
* Sharing knowledge and clinicalexperience with the wider team to support each other s growth anddevelopment.
We arelooking for someone who has:
* BSc Radiography orequivalent
* Membership of an appropriateprofessional body and holds a valid registration(HCPC)
* A goodunderstanding of fundamental MRI physics and different scanningtechniques and sequences
* A proven knowledge ofthe requirements of a radiographer s role regarding the care ofpatients, their careers and other colleagues
* Ahigh level of professionalism and technical standard ofwork
* Aptitude towards improvingquality
* The ability to work in amultidisciplinary team
* Understanding of theimplications of the Data Protection Act, Caldicott Principles andGDPR
* A flexible approach to work and able towork across 7 days(Mon-Sun)
* A strong team playerattitude, being supportive, caring, reliable andtrustworthy
* The ability to be calm when workingunder pressure and in a busy environment
* Apositive attitude, taking pride in their work and is passionateabout the service they provide
* The passion fordeveloping their career in radiography and working towards newmilestones.
You shouldapply if you have experience:
* Working with MRI equipment in either a hospitalor mobile setting
* In basic and routine MRIexaminations, with the ambition to learn more complexscans
* In different courses such as infectioncontrol training, manual handling, basic lifesupport
* Scanning with contrast, or beenthusiastic to learn
* In health and safetypolicies and procedures with imagingequipment
* Working in a multi-disciplinaryteam.
