Our customer is a global property & real estate organisation, with a number of blue chip corporate and commercial client accounts under management, both for local and EMEA / Worldwide portfolios. Due to a restructuring of one of their long-held and high-profile banking customers HQ’s in London’s Docklands, they currently seek a Technical Services Manager (mechanical/electrical engineering) to help support the existing team, coordinating planned and reactive maintenance services within a critical environment. Guideline salary for this position is circa £70k, flexible for the right individual, and comes with an attractive package including discretionary annual bonus, private healthcare, and an industry-leading pension scheme.
Candidates must be fully qualified in an engineering discipline (mechanical or electrical), ideally through a full apprenticeship, and with at least five years of experience in an engineering/technical services management role within commercial building services & FM. Along with core engineering qualifications, additional training such as HV / LV Authorisation, NEBOSH, etc., will be beneficial as well as good working knowledge around the following systems:
* Single & Three Phase Distribution
* Emergency Lighting
* Fire Alarms
* Air Handling & Fan Coil Units
* BMS Operation
* Motors
* Pumps
* Sprinkler Systems
* Water Treatment
* Cooling Towers
* PDUs
* VAV/VRFs
* 1st line Chiller & Boilers
* UPS Systems
* Diesel Generators
* HV & LV Distribution
Day-to-day duties will include:
1. Ensure that all services are delivered in line with the key performance indicators as per contractual agreement
2. Internal & client audits are completed and are at the required levels both from an adequacy & effectiveness perspective
3. Ensure the building is fully compliant from an organisational perspective, applicable to both statutory and legislative compliance
4. Ensure compliance against the company policies & procedures for all HSEQ aspects
5. Actively report any non-compliance issues
6. Work with the Head of Critical Engineering to ensure that all aspects of CEM are being delivered in accordance with the framework
7. Complete regular audits to ensure compliance to the CEM process
8. Report any non-compliances identified
9. Ensure all risks are reported both internally and externally when required
